What Areas of the Body Can Laser Hair Removal Treat?

Diolaze XL laser hair removal can stop hair growth in large areas, such as your legs, but is gentle enough to treat delicate areas of your face. Common treatment areas can include:

  • Upper and lower legs
  • Upper and lower arms
  • Underarms
  • Chest
  • Buttocks
  • Back
  • Abdomen
  • Bikini line
  • Hands and fingers
  • Feet and toes
  • Between your eyebrows
  • Your chin
  • Above your lip
  • Along your hairline
  • Sideburns

How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?

The Diolaze XL system uses a single wavelength of light to target the unique pigment, known as melanin, found inside the hair follicles during hair growth. The melanin in the follicle absorbs the light, creating heat that damages the follicle from within, inhibiting its ability to grow new hair. The Diolaze XL has a built-in skin-cooling surface that helps keep your skin cool and comfortable during the procedure.

What Is Diolaze XL Laser Hair Removal?

Diolaze XL is an advanced laser hair removal tool that safely and gently eliminates unwanted hair on the face and body. This innovative tool offers one of the largest treatment spot sizes, allowing our specialists to treat larger areas in faster times, while still providing a comfortable experience.

What Can I Expect During Treatment?

As you prepare for your treatment day, you will need to avoid sun exposure for at least 3 to 4 weeks, as well as avoid waxing, plucking, or bleaching your hair. 24 to 48 hours before your treatment, you will want to shave the treatment area. When you come in, the treatment area should be free from any lotions, oils, or deodorants. Numbing cream may be applied to sensitive areas before the treatment begins to provide more comfortable treatment. As the treatment begins a cooling gel is also applied for additional comfort as the laser glides over the skin. Treatment is relatively quick depending on the size of the treatment area.

Why Are Multiple Treatments Necessary?

In most cases, we will recommend at least four to six sessions spaced four to six weeks apart in order to achieve optimal results and eliminate hair regrowth as every follicle will not be treated in one session. This is because hair grows in four different stages: anagen, catagen, telogen, and exogen. Laser hair removal only targets hair in the anagen stage, so multiple treatments are necessary to target all the hair follicles in a given area.

Am I a Good Candidate for Diolaze XL Treatments?

Ideal candidates for Diolaze XL laser hair removal are anyone over 18 looking to eliminate facial or body hair. You must not have been in the sun or a tanning bed for at least 4 weeks before treatment and you must not have any active infections or rashes in the treatment areas.

Because laser hair removal targets the melanin, or pigments in the hair follicles, your skin and hair color can play a role in the effectiveness of treatments. A strong contrast between skin and hair pigment allows for the best results, such as dark hair on light skin. If you have dark skin and light hair or have blond, white, gray, or red hair, you may require additional treatments in order to achieve an optimal outcome.

Diolaze Laser Hair Removal

Whether your purpose is aesthetic or athletic, laser hair removal provides a solution that offers a significant reduction in hair growth that is both safe and quick delivering smooth hairless skin. Since the laser pinpoints pigmented hair color, it will damage the root assuming that there is a contrast between the skin and the hair. As a result, laser hair removal generally works best where hair is dark and/or coarse. Treatment frequencies are based on each cycle of hair growth.
